The KONTACT family of implants, which includes KONTACT and KONTACT S+, can meet that challenge, offering an extensive range of implants and prosthetics solutions that provide dentists with more versatile treatment options designed to fi t the needs of every patient. Over 2.5 million KONTACT and KONTACT S+ implants have been placed worldwide, and KONTACT implants are now available in the U.S. KONTACT S+ will be available in the U.S. later this spring.
The entire KONTACT implant range requires only a single surgical kit for all sizes and has a corresponding guided surgical kit. KONTACT implants feature continuous cutting blades along the implant as well as a secondary thread designed to increase the surface area. For optimal compression, the implants use a conical part with a variable pitch thread. KONTACT S+ is ideal for immediate loading and challenging cases requiring greater initial stability, such as lowdensity bone. Both titanium implants are adaptable to traditional and digital workflows.
Single Connection System
Additionally, to minimize crestal bone loss, both KONTACT and KONTACT S+ implants enable platform switching, which uses prosthetic abutments with an emergence diameter that's smaller than the diameter of the implant neck. The KONTACT S+ is designed with a Morse taper locking connection identical to the KONTACT, which features 6 implant positions and 3 in the abutments, a design that stabilizes the abutment implant connection. Additionally, both KONTACT and KONTACT S+ feature a single connection system designed for easy insertion, as well as fast and reliable repositioning.
