LumaDent’s story begins in 2009, in its founder’s dental office. Like many practitioners, Dr. Doung Ton felt limited by some of the everyday equipment he used
to deliver care—in this case, the persistent pain point was his dental loupes. Frustrated by the high cost of maintaining- ing his primitive loupes and headlight system, Dr. Ton took matters into his own hands. His efforts culminated in the creation of LumaDent and its award-winning products.
Today, LumaDent manufactures custom-made loupes and LED headlight packages for dental professionals of all experience levels. Most LumaDent products are backwards compatible and use a modular design with easily replaceable parts. Its Through-The-Lens (TTL) and flip-up loupes are customizable, lightweight, and ergonomically designed to prevent neck and back pain. The company’s range of crystal-clear oculars provides magnification from
2.5x to 5.0x. Combined with their critically acclaimed headlight systems, these tools help clinicians improve diagnostics and overall quality of care.

ErgoPrism TTL Loupes
The limitations associated with traditional loupe design and magnification leave practitioners bending and straining throughout procedures. Over the course of a career, these adjustments can lead to chronic pain.

Galilean Loupes
Available in TTL or flip-up configuration, Galilean Loupes can be custom-made from a single photo to help every user work efficiently, accurately, and comfortably. The loupes feature lower magnification with reduced field of view as magnification increases. This design makes them more “forgiving” overall and, in turn, a great choice for first-time users.
Galilean Loupes are lightweight and compact without sacrificing visual clarity or prescription capability. You can see your working area in edge-to-edge, crystal-clear quality thanks to the optical grade glass.
Prism Loupes
In contrast with their Galilean counterparts, LumaDent Prism Loupes feature a more complex design that provides higher magnification and a wider field of view but requires more care when measuring and wearing to ensure effective use. This makes them a perfect option for more experienced
loupes users who are comfortable with fine-tuning their equipment to attain the visibility they need.
LumaDent’s new and improved flip-up crossbar gives you full control over the interpupillary distance, declination angle, and vertical position of your Prism telescopes, enabled in part by the manufacturer’s new IPD adjustment knobs. With this design, by simply twisting the end of the crossbar, precise adjustments can be made.
Headlight Packages
LumaDent offers a range of headlight systems that provide the illumination, power, and convenience to get through a busy workweek. Every headlight package comes with a mount to install the headlight on any pair of loupes or glasses and can be customized via the company’s website.
LumaDent’s compact, customizable, and cost-effective ProLUX system showcases 2 lithium-ion ProLUX batteries with an operating time of up to 40 hours each. This system also features an HL360 LED headlamp, which produces up to
60,000 LUX into a perfect circular beam with even edge-to-edge brightness.
The uniLUX system features 2 lithium-ion uniLUX batteries. It delivers an impressive operating time of up to 12 hours per battery and 5 different colors to choose from. The system also includes LumaDent’s HL360 LED headlight.
LumaDent’s 100% wireless LED headlight system, airLUX, comes with 2x lithium-polymer airLUX batteries and the manufacturer’s award-winning HL360 LED headlight. Producing 21,000 LUX, lasting 3.5 hours on a single charge and weighing only 17 g, airLUX does not compromise performance for value. In addition, the included micro-USB charging cable ensures the airLUX is charged and ready to go whenever you need it.
