The newest addition to Henry Schein's Maxima family of performance handpieces and small equipment is the compact yet powerful Maxima Advanced Ultrasonic Cleaner MA100.

"The goal in launching the MA100 was to build on the same technology that is used in the Maxima Advanced Ultrasonic Cleaner MA210, our 2gallon unit, and offer a more comprehensive portfolio by adding a 1gallon option," said Sophia Loyas, Associate Product Manager, Handpiece & Small Equipment Solutions, at Henry Schein. "Because the MA100 utilizes the same powerful technology, it can achieve industry leading cleaning times while maintaining a lower decibel level than many other units."

Both units can complete a full cleaning cycle in 5 to 10 minutes: 5 minutes for a single layer of instruments and 10 minutes for 2 or more layers.

Dual-Frequency Flexibility

The MA100 has a first of its kind dual frequency feature that "gives dental teams the flexibility to customize the cleaning strength they need for a certain cycle,” Loyas explained. "The 32kHz setting offers a fast, intense surface clean best suited for cleaning stuck on grit and grime, while the 48kHz setting provides a deep, precise clean that works best for instruments with small crevices where residue can hide."

Compact Size, Powerful Performance

Featuring a 1.06gallon tank, the MA100’s compact size meets the needs of dental practices with limited counter space while still holding 2 half size cassettes.

"Compared with smaller sized units, the MA100 is able to not only achieve a higher level of clean in a shorter time but also complete more cycles—effectively outputting more instruments with a better clean," noted Loyas, who added that the MA100 was built with user-friendliness in mind. “It features an automatic degas function, which is typically a manual feature, to help practices get the best results without needing to figure it out on their own.”

Backed by Support

Educational videos will help clinicians understand how to use and maintain their MA100 unit.

“These how-to resources are easy to find by scanning a QR code right on the box," Loyas said. “Plus, the Maxima Advanced Ultrasonic Cleaner MA100 is backed by Henry Schein’s excellent repair team as well as a 3year warranty."
