For Brandy Husted, hearing patients say their teeth are just too sensitive to tolerate an ultra-sonic scaler is, well, nothing unusual. An RDH for 25 years, Husted generally sees about 1,000 patients over the course of each year, and patients’ reluctance when it comes to ultrasonic scalers is something she routinely encounters.
