This course will deal with numerous aspects of restorative aesthetic dentistry and efficient patient care in today’s dental practice. We will discuss how to make routine dental procedures more predictable and efficient. Adhesion will be discussed and how it applies to both direct and indirect restorations as well as pulpal treatment for those deep decay lesions. In addition, tissue management will de discussed as it pertains to the preparation visit as well as the insertion visit. Adhesive and more conventional insertion techniques will be addressed to aide the clinician to develop a foolproof method of delivery. This will enable the clinician to deliver restorations will little to no post-op discomfort as well as long-lasting ones.

- Describe the protocol differences for direct vs. indirect restorations
- Describe how to properly treat the various indirect materials prior to insertion
- Identify which teeth will need pulpal treatment prior to insertion of a direct material or placement of a core buildup
- Recognize the different tissue retraction methods necessary to prevent impression or insertion issues.
