The true measure of a well-executed dental restoration lies not just in its initial appearance. It is also what happens when the procedure becomes a distant memory, and the restoration continues to perform under everyday pressures while retaining both its function and esthetics.
Riva Cem Automix, a resin-modified glass-ionomer luting cement from SDI, is designed to deliver lasting results—featuring revolutionary ionglass technology for a superior bond between restorations and tooth structure with high strength and esthetic stability.
Strong, Durable, and Predictable Restorations
A self-curing, radiopaque, and fluoride-releasing restorative material, Riva Cem Automix is indicated for the permanent cementation of metal and ceramic restorations. Its excellent bond strength to both enamel and dentin yields reliable adhesion and long-term retention of cemented restorations, and its high flexural strength allows for increased durability in the oral environment.
“Riva Cem Automix is a trusted cement that clinicians can add to their armamentarium and use in their practices with confidence,” assured Byron Davis, DDS, MS, a prosthodontist who practices in Okatie, SC. “So far, we have had consistent success with our crown cementation and bonding.”
Ease of Dispensing and Cleanup
The automix tip attachment offers clinicians convenience over traditional hand-mixed cement systems, while effectively minimizing material waste and enabling them to provide more treatment with each syringe. Riva Cem Automix has a light tack cure option for easy removal of excess cement.
Clinicians can tack cure the material for 5 seconds using a high-power LED curing light, and then gently use a scaler or explorer to remove any excess. Alternatively, excess cement can be removed during the self-curing phase after about 90 seconds.
Riva Cem Automix is available in kits containing 2 syringes and 16 mixing tips, and its mixing tip refills are available in bags of 50.
