Time is of the essence. That’s true in so many situations—from preparing dinner after a busy workday to ordering a new pair of shoes online. For example, the compact transformer and power cord simplify installation. “I think it’s great that it’s a smaller unit,” said Robie. “It doesn’t take up a lot of space in the operatory. And oh goodness, the portability. We have a newer operatory and the doctor needed my unit, so we literally unplugged it from the wall, disconnected the water, grabbed the hoses, and moved it to the other room. In 5 or 10 minutes, it was all set up and ready to go.”

The functionality behind the TurboSensor+ also provides time savings. The ultrasonic Robie used in her previous office required that she stop what she was doing, come out of the patient’s mouth, and turn the knob on the unit to adjust the power.

“The TurboSensor+ is nice in that it has this built-in foot pedal that only requires me to apply a bit of pressure to increase the power and then let up to go back to the previous setting,” she explained. “It’s less in and out of the mouth for the patient and less turning and moving around for me as a clinician.”
