The Miracle of MiraTray
MiraTray Implant Advanced allows clinicians to quickly and easily take accurate impressions, making the lab technician’s job easier and resulting in fewer remakes
When lab owner Perry Carroll, CDT, first received an impression taken using Hager's MiraTray Implant Advanced, it’s fair to say he was impressed with the result. It was certainly better than anything he’d ever seen taken using a stock tray, making his job much easier. He learned more about the advantages the trays provided and began recommending MiraTray to other implant dentists he works with.
“Getting them on board is a piece of cake,” Carroll said. “Once they try it, that’s it. Anybody who ever uses these trays never goes back.” What makes these trays so different? They’re easy to use, made specifically for implants, and abutments are clearly visible through the tray’s patented transparent foil.
Easy to Work With
One of the biggest advantages these trays provide is how much time they save, Carroll said. Stock trays aren’t designed for implants, so they don’t have windows or openings for the screws—those need to be put in by hand. This is a task that typically falls to the dentist, and when you factor in smoothing out the sharp edges created by puncturing the tray, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes.
MiraTray is designed for implant impressions using the open-tray technique, Carroll said, so there’s no need to spend time modifying the tray.
The bottom of each MiraTray is made from a transparent foil technology that makes the screws easy to see and feel, so Carroll can remove the impressions without any trouble. The tray proportions are also formed a bit differently, Carroll said, making them more implant friendly. MiraTray is compatible with all implant systems and can be used with any impression material.
“Using this tray helps dentists achieve better results with their implant impressions.”

Your Lab Will Thank You
MiraTray makes the process easier on the lab. It's common for Carroll to receive stock impressions and know immediately that they will be difficult to work with, or worse, need to be redone. He’s never had that issue with MiraTray.
“We get better impressions with the MiraTray, which means fewer remakes and less time calling the doctor to verify details or sending the case back because the impression wasn’t good enough,” he said. “That’s a lot of wasted time for the doctor."
Why Make the Switch?
The dentists Carroll works with love these trays because they are easy to use and ensure the impression comes out right the first time—saving time and money.
“If the impression isn’t right, the restoration won’t be right, either. So, you have to get it right at the very beginning,” Carroll said. “It’s like the foundation of a house—if it’s off, the rest of the house is off. Using this tray helps dentists achieve better results with their implant impressions.”
