AdDent is a finalist for the 2017 Golden Hands Award of Xcellence

AdDent is among five final nominees for the annual 2017 Golden Hands Award of Xcellence for Ethics and Truth in Advertising, sponsored by the California Dental Expo. The award is presented on behalf of the dental community, by popular vote, to the company that maintains the highest standards in advertising.

US dentists can vote online for the company they believe demonstrates dentistry’s best ideals in the following categories:

 

•Ethical Conduct

•Truth in Advertising

• Placement of Public Health Before Profits

• Dependable Products and Services

• Knowledgeable Professionals

• Excellent Customer Service

 

The California Dental Expo is endeavoring to create more transparency in dentistry because the omnipresence of the Internet has made it “more challenging for dentists to delineate fact from fiction and pertinent research results from creative marketing strategies.”

The vetting process includes evaluating more than 3,000 companies suggested by dental professionals who are involved in dental education and/or product research. Then all dentists in the United States are encouraged to register to vote for a winner among the finalists.

The prize, besides the prestige, is a sculpture designed and made by an artist named Donjo, who uses the lost-wax process to cast the bronze statue, which rests on an Italian marble base. The hands, which are those of the artist, hold a wheel depicting the triangles of the profession:  Dental Education, Dental Professionals, Dental Organizations and the Dental Industry—all converging to a common, central point.
