Periodontists, PDT’s Slade Blade is Made Just for You

Paradise Dental Technologies ToolsParadise Dental Technologies (PDT) is well known for its signature curettes and scalers like the Montana Jack, Jack B. Nimble, and Queen of Hearts, instruments that have become synonymous with ergonomics, efficiency, and patient comfort. But did you know that PDT also has a full line of surgical instruments that focus on the same ideals as the signature instruments? From bone grafting and luxating instruments to elevators, forceps, and extraction instruments, PDT’s surgical instruments are made of high-quality materials, are easy to use and are comfortable for patients and clinicians alike.

Slade BladeOne of those surgical instruments, Slade Blade, was designed with board-certified periodontist Scott Froum, DDS, based on his experiences during periodontal surgeries in his own practice. Dr. Froum created this post-extraction instrument to efficiently remove granulation tissue from extraction sockets prior to implant placement.

Slade Blade is available in either serrated or non-serrated versions in 5 sizes corresponding to use in anterior or posterior regions - R432 Slade Blade 1 Anterior Narrow, R433 Slade Blade 2 Anterior Wide, R434 Slade Blade 3 Posterior Narrow, R435 Slade Blade 4 Posterior Wide, and R436 Slade Blade 5 Posterior Wide without Serrations.

The ultralight, large-diameter handle has an ergonomic design consisting of lightweight resin with raised, patterned knurling that enhances grip while wearing gloves. This unique handle provides clinicians with superior control and torque while reducing the pinch force and hand fatigue commonly caused by dental instruments.
