The new DryDent Parotid introduces new features for managing the amount of saliva produced by the parotid glands. DryDent Parotid is placed directly over the open ducts of the parotid gland where saliva is absorbed the most. This allows for a drier working area. Its very absorbent foam material entraps undesired moisture, making a drier mouth for impression taking, cementing, and filling procedures. DryDent Parotid’s very absorbent capacity is able to keep moisture under control even when fully saturated. It is made of soft, smooth materials that provide excellent patient comfort throughout any treatment. Available in Small and Large packages of 50 pieces. Normal secretion: 0,25-0,35 ml/minute. Stimulated: 1-3 ml/minute. For adults, two DryDent Parotid and one big DryDent Sublingual absorb approximately 16 ml of saliva during a 30 minute treatment.
