In this demonstration, we will show how to replace a Hader clip.

Any clips that are no longer providing the desired level of retention should be replaced. The variety of available replacement clips allows you to customize the amount of retention based on each patient's individual needs and preferences.

Begin by removing the old Hader clip from the metal housing. Using a scalpel or surgical blade, carefully slice the clip lengthwise.

Do not use a handpiece to grind either the housing or the clip, as this can damage the metal housing.

Using cotton pliers or an explorer, remove the old clip from the housing.

Place the new Hader clip onto the end of the insertion tool. Using the insertion tool helps ensure the new clip is seated accurately and remains properly aligned during placement.

Align the clip with the housing in the denture and press the new clip firmly into place.

Repeat these same steps for any remaining Hader clips that need to be replaced.
