Admira Fusion Restoratives

I see a lot of patients who are looking for second and third opinions. I recently had a female patient in her mid-30s come into my office after receiving a filling on tooth No. 5. She developed a bad taste in her mouth, but when she went for a follow-up visit, the dentist told her, “Your bite is fine, your filling looks great, and the x-ray is amazing.” But the bad taste persisted, to the point where it became difficult for her to eat. After asking her some questions and performing biocompatibility testing, I created a new restoration using VOCO’s Admira Fusion.
The patient called the next day to let us know the weird taste was gone and she was able to eat normally again. It turned out that she was having a poor reaction to the filling material used by her dentist.
A Safe yet Effective Material
Out of all the dental materials I have tested, my data shows Admira Fusion products to be some of the most easily compatible materials for my patients. These ceramic-based universal restorative materials are very easy to handle, place, shade match, and polish. Plus, Admira Fusion has low polymerization shrinkage compared with conventional materials, thanks to VOCO’s nano-hybrid ORMOCER technology. Comprised of organically modified ceramics, it is free of classic monomers that can be harmful to cells and tissues. Many of my pediatric cases that traditionally involved sedating the patient for invasive grinding and cutting of baby teeth can now be restored smoothly and comfortably using Admira Fusion Flow.

Choosing to practice nontoxic, holistic dentistry was personal for me. Back in 2018, I became very sick and none of my doctors could figure out the problem. Finally, a functional doctor discovered that I was positive for mercury toxicity from my work in the dental field. I realized that I needed to make a choice: continue practicing dentistry the way I always had, which was toxic to my body, or look for a way to practice happier and healthier—not just for me, but for my team and my patients.
