“Hyperspectral imaging lets us look beyond the surface and capture signals that earlier TRIOS scanners could not,” shared Dr. Ornella Delli Rocili, Senior Global Training & Education Manager, Clinical, at 3Shape. “In one pass, TRIOS 6 uses 3 light sources at the same time: white light to capture geometry, tooth morphology, and color; white light together with fluorescence to visualize indicators of surface caries and plaque; and near-infrared imaging (NIRI) to support proximal caries visualization.”
110% Higher Scan Resolution
TRIOS 6 captures HD scans with up to 110% higher scan resolution** and also leverages 3Shape’s patented ScanAssist technology, which uses intelligent alignment. Additionally, a haptic feedback feature guides users as they scan.
Measuring 10.47 inches in length, and with a new arctic sapphire metallic look, TRIOS 6 offers the same ergonomics and wireless capability that TRIOS users are accustomed to. Compact, lightweight, and calibration free, TRIOS 6 weighs just 10.8 oz and features a visual upgrade that includes a redesigned button layout based on customer feedback.
“We collaborate closely with practicing dentists and dental technicians through beta programs, advisory groups, and 3Shape Academy teams worldwide,” Dr. Delli Rocili added. “That 2-way bridge—from clinic to product and back again—helps us build tools that fit real workflows.”
