Make Endo Easier with EXACTTaperH DC
Designed to maximize conservation of tooth structure, this SS White file system features a variable taper and maximum flute diameter for more predictable root canal treatments
Over the years, patients have developed a negative mindset around root canals. Even those who lack an adequate understanding of the procedure believe it to be one of the most painful and invasive procedures in dentistry, with no shortage of potential complications.
While it may be impossible to break the stigma around the “dreaded” root canal, advancements in endodontic materials and equipment have made the procedure more palatable for patients, as well as for the general dentists and endodontists who treat them.
An example of this is SS White, which has been manufacturing minimally invasive NiTi files for over a decade. The company’s most recent file innovation, the EXACTTaperH DC system, is a DPS Best Product that fuels more predictable endodontic outcomes.
Flexible, Minimally Invasive Design
Designed with various sizes, lengths, and tapers, the EXACTTaperH DC NiTi files ensure both strength and flexibility when navigating straight and curved canals. The files also have less wire separation and reduced file breakage during procedures. A variable taper with a maximum flute diameter of 0.8 mm allows for better negotiation of the canal while preserving more tooth structure.
“The files had excellent cutting capability,” said DPS evaluator Dr. Nilay Nanavati, adding that the EXACTTaperH DC files made his endodontic workflow smooth and seamless.
EXACTTaperH DC files employ proprietary heat-treating processes that create superior controlled memory and flexibility to resist cyclic fatigue in up to 90° curves. This means complex root canal anatomies can be navigated without the added stress of file fracture or failure.
Dr. Todd Sarubin said the EXACTTaperH DC Glidepath files were “very good at recapitulating the length of the canal after initial access,” creating an ideal fit for gutta-percha while making his root canal procedures easier.
Efficient & Easy to Implement
While adapting to new tools and instruments can be a challenge, adopting the EXACTTaperH DC files does not require clinicians to change their technique, as files are compatible with all rotary systems and popular endodontic handpieces. “I encountered narrow, calcified mesial canals on a lower molar, tooth No. 30, due to chronic insult from long decay. These files navigated and removed tissue and calcification effectively,” Dr. Alfred dela Cruz said, describing the files as “efficient, economical, and effective."
