SmartLite Pro
Much more than a curing light, SmartLite Pro has 4 LEDs, a sleek modular design, and interchangeable tips for maximum versatility

Dentistry requires a wide range of materials and instruments, and if you're not careful, this can lead to a cluttered and chaotic operatory. Personally, I try to keep my operatories as clutter-free as possible.
That's why I love the innovative, modular design of the SmartLite Pro LED curing light. Within a moment, I can change the curing light into a transillumination probe for caries detection or an EndoActivator for ultrasonic irrigation during root canal treatment. I use transillumination in my office regularly to diagnose fractures, marginal leakage, and interproximal decay, so I find the transillumination tip with its focused 1-mm light output to be incredibly valuable.
I can switch between the transillumination tip and curing tip so easily—without sacrificing space or purchasing another expensive piece of equipment. The small charging station takes up little room on my countertop, while providing easy access to all 3 of these tools I use daily.
Sleek & Ergonomic Design
I was given the opportunity to test the SmartLite Pro in fall 2019, and it did not take long for the design and features to win me over. The first thing I noticed was its lightweight framework. The sleek metal housing is not only light in my hand, but it has almost no crevices, making it nice and easy to clean.
The light tips' 360-degree, quick-connect swivel also makes it comfortable to reach the curing button, even in hard-to-reach areas of the mouth.
A Worry-Free Cure
When curing composite, you don’t always have the luxuries of time and space to move your light to different angles of the restoration, but I have never experienced that problem using SmartLite Pro. That's because it has 4 centralized LED lights that create a 10-mm active curing area—saving me from constantly changing angles to ensure all composite has been reached. I can evenly and thoroughly cure the occlusal surface of an entire molar while staying in one place.
I've even put SmartLite Pro to the test vs my traditional curing light while setting a Class II on a mandibular second molar. It only required a 10-second cure time and cured to the same depth as my traditional light, but in half the time.
More Tips to Come
SmartLite Pro gives me peace of mind thanks to its effective and reliable curing, which is why it's now the only curing light I use. I can’t wait to see what new and exciting modular features will be added next.
