“Surpass® represents a different approach to self-etch bonding agents and a surprisingly good bond to enamel for a self-etch product. Although it has three components, many dentists are using acid gel to etch enamel margins with most of the other popular self-etching primers, which adds another component to their one or two bottles.
Our pilot tests of Surpass® show bond to enamel similar to phosphoric acid, and dentin bond comparable to or better than other bonding agents. Surpass® is yet another good alternative to the popular self-etching concept. “
