Why I Use…X-MIND Optima 3D

When most clinicians make a major capital investment, they want their purchase to last at least 10 years. However, that’s a very long time in a dentist's skills journey. In 10 years, someone who was just starting to place implants may now be completing complex full-mouth rehabilitations with zygomatic implants.

Thanks to its broad field-of-view (FOV) range from 5×5 cm to 17×12 cm, the Optima 3D supports rather than stifles clinical growth, ensuring dentists don’t need to replace their investment as their skills evolve. Having multiple options for FOV scans helps us maintain patient safety according to ALARA principles, and because the unit incorporates state-of-the-art IGZO sensor technology, it also affords better precision, less radiation, and a larger FOV without compromising imaging quality.

For patients, the intuitive interface makes it easy to follow along during diagnostic readings, and for clinicians, behind-the-scenes RealGUIDE tools allow me to do everything needed to successfully complete implant cases.
