Improve clinical outcomes for the patient and clinician

Shrinkage usually is not a good thing. Especially in dentistry where for almost 50 years, use of composite resins has raised concern over the impact of their initial shrinkage (initially as high as 5% though currently around 2% to 3%).

VOCO’s Admira Fusion nano-ORMOCER technology offers a step forward in initial shrinkage with only 1.25% (by volume) shrinkage, which is up to 50% less shrinkage than many conventional composites.

After using the product in his practice, Dr. Charles Rubin said he was impressed with the material’s “outstanding handling and esthetics,” and reported that it saved procedure time. “I will be changing my primary restorative material for the first time in many years,” he said.

Admira Fusion’s combination of the ORMOCER (ORganically MOdified CERamics) technology with nano-hybrid technology allows clinicians to work with a product that demonstrates excellent handling, strength, and stability.

Dr. David Buchina praised the technology: “Using Admira Fusion has streamlined completion of restorations by removing the complexity while maintaining their sophistication. There is no finer product on the market. Placement of direct restorations has become efficacious with this splendid material.”

Admira Fusion contains no classic monomers, such as BisGMA, TEGDMA, or HEMA, thus eliminating the potential for such substances to be released after polymerization. ORMOCER, which has been used in place of conventional monomers, consists of large and precondensed molecules of an inorganic matrix with a high degree of cross-linking, resulting in excellent biocompatibility.
