I enjoy trying new products, and I always strive to stay current in patient care. As a DPS evaluator, I get the opportunity to critically evaluate products and be among the first few dentists to try new products who can make an impact in practice. 
My parents practiced medicine, which laid the foundation for my interest in healthcare. I chose dentistry because of the good work-life balance, and I chose periodontics and implantology to fulfill my interest in the surgical sciences. I get tremendous satisfaction out of restoring patients to normal function with periodontics and restoring occlusion with permanent treatment options (implants).
I am currently in private practice in Illinois and serve on the faculty at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. In the past, I practiced general dentistry in India and Nepal, and was a faculty member and Director of Implantology at Meharry Dental School in Tennessee.
I am active in organized dentistry and serve on the board of my local dental society. I am a past president of the American Association of Dental Research – Nashville Chapter. I am a reviewer for ADEA and other international journals. In Nepal, I served as a Red Cross volunteer in dental camps, and I also volunteered for RAM USA in Nashville.
