OMNICHROMA
Single-shade composite with exceptional handling
|
Find out why Dr. James Peyton uses Tokuyama’s OMNICHROMA and OMNICHROMA Blocker to: • Restore 90% of his anterior cases—including diastema closures, Class IV fractures, and veneers • Simplify composite inventory and eliminate the hassle of shade matching and color selecting
In early 2019, when OMNICHROMA first came to market, I got a visit from Ichi Yamada, the COO at Tokuyama Dental America. He drove all the way up from Tokuyama headquarters in Encintas, CA, to my practice out in Bakersfield armed with samples of different-colored teeth. We tried out a new material, and after curing the teeth, he asked me what I noticed. I said, “The colors match. What’s going on?”
The rest is history. I have been using OMNICHROMA exclusively ever since. I can literally restore everything with it—even things I didn’t think would be possible, such as diastema closures, Class IV fractures, and veneers. Every time I try it, I am amazed at the results. After restoring several hundred fillings with OMNICHROMA, I have found that the majority of my patients are between the A1/B1 and A3.5/A4 shade range, which OMNICHROMA matches perfectly well.
OMNICHROMA is cost-effective, especially for a younger dentist who may just be starting out and doesn’t want to buy 30 or 40 different composite shades. This one composite can handle about 90% of anterior cases. It just blends right in. For example, when it comes to Class V caries right at the gumline, it’s like magic. I could not take the best composite material in different shades and make it look as good. It amazes me how it picks up the transition from the middle of the tooth, which is lighter, to a higher chroma at the gingival area. Even if you run into a dark tooth or a large diastema closure, you can use OMNICHROMA Blocker to cover dark areas, get rid of translucency, or hide fracture lines.
I’ve always enjoyed the handling and polishing characteristics of Tokuyama products, and OMNICHROMA is no exception. So, even though many competitors have been joining in on the single-shade game in recent years, I see no reason to change. |
